The police arrested two persons on the charges of stealing laptops and seized 29 computers from their possession here on Thursday. Most of these laptops were stolen from passengers of buses on long-distance routes.
SP Vishal Gunni said that three of these laptops were found to be having information required in cases registered in the past. The offenders involved in this crime were found to be close relatives.
The accused were named as Bitragunta Suresh, 25, a native of Nethaji Road area in Kuppam town of Chittoor district and Koduru Lakshmana Raju, 32, a resident of NTR Nagar in Nellore city.
Suresh studied ECE diploma course had begun stealing laptops and later sending them to Lakshmana Raju who would sell them illegally to others. Additional SP Sarath Babu and DSP G. Venkataramudu were present.
