Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani on Tuesday expressed happiness with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s statement that the country was facing terror threats from Pakistan.

“I am happy with the Prime Minister’s changed realisation and recognition of the fact vis-À-vis the terrorist threats from Pakistan,” he said.

Talking to journalists here, Mr. Advani referred to the July 16 India-Pakistan joint statement in Egypt, in which Dr. Singh agreed to de-link terror from the dialogue process.

“Now, how the Prime Minister will make a consensus on his previous statement, and this statement is to be seen.”
