Four killed in China mine explosion

At least four people were killed and four others injured in a coal mine gas explosion in southwest China’s Yunnan province on Monday, authorities said.

The explosion occurred at around 10.30 a.m. at a coal mine in Linfeng township of Weixin county, Xinhua reported citing the county’s information office.

An investigation into the cause of the blast is under way.
