A police spokesman says six people have been killed in north-eastern Poland after the van they were travelling crossed into oncoming traffic and was hit by a truck.
Bialystok police spokesman Andrzej Baranowski said on Thursday that the van may have hit a slippery patch of the road it was travelling between the cities of Zambrow and Wysokie Mazowieckie.
He says both vehicles veered into the ditch on impact and all six passengers of the van were killed instantly. The truck driver suffered a hand injury.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
