Nine people were killed and eight injured when a roadside bomb struck a bus in eastern Afghanistan on Monday, police said.
The bus was en route to the capital Kabul when the explosion occurred in Wardak province, police official Abdul Wali Noorzai said.
He blamed the Taliban insurgents for the attack.
Taliban sources were not immediately available to comment on the incident.
