Police on Monday said that an overcrowded bus plunged off a mountain road in Nepal, killing at least 17 people and injuring 50 more.

Police official Kesh Bahadur Shahi said that the bus veered off the road near Pokharakada village on Sunday night and rolled about 2,000 feet down a slope.
