A magnitude-6.3 earthquake shook north-western Pakistan on Monday, the second major tremor to hit the country in a week, the meteorological department said.
No deaths or injuries were reported from the latest quake, which occurred at 8:45 am (0345 GMT).
Department chief Arif Mehmood said the epicentre was located in Tajikistan at a depth of 89 kilometres.
A magnitude-7.3 quake rocked south-western Pakistan Wednesday, causing the collapse of hundreds of mud houses. Two women died from heart attacks, and several people were injured.
In October 2005, an earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale struck northern Pakistan and killed more than 70,000 people.
