Acting on a High Court order, Pakistan police have registered a murder case against the former President, Pervez Musharraf, and several of his key aides in connection with the killing of Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Bugti in a military operation in 2006.
The case was registered at Dera Bugti police station in Balochistan on the orders of the provincial High Court, said lawyers representing Bugti’s kin.
Others named in the case are the former Premier Shaukat Aziz, former Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, former Chief Minister Jaam Yousuf and former provincial Home Minister Shoaib Nosherwani.
