Moderate quake jolts Tibet prefecture

A moderate 4.9-magnitude quake struck China’s southwestern Tibet Autonomous Region on Tuesday. The quake shook Gerze county of Ali prefecture in the region at 12:41 p.m., the China Earthquake Networks Centre said.

The epicentre is identified at a depth of 10 km, state-run Xinhua news agency reported. No reports of damage and casualties received.
