Libya is blaming Britain for attacks on the country’s largest oil field, countering rebel claims that government forces were behind the attacks that have shut down production.

Separately, an oil industry source in Dubai said on Thursday that a Liberian—flagged tanker has left the eastern port of Tobruk, headed either to Singapore or China. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because he’s not authorized to speak with the media.

The rebels have accused Muammar Qadhafi’s supporters of attacking two key eastern fields.
