A helicopter carrying victims of a car accident to a hospital in northeastern Iran crashed on Wednesday and all 10 people on board died, state TV said.
The helicopter was en route to the northeastern city of Mashhad when it went down, according to Mohammad Reza Vafainejad, a local official.
Mr Vafainejad was quoted by the Mehr news agency as saying that the helicopter was flying at low altitude due to bad weather and hit a power cable on the way.
Earlier, the Fars news agency said nine were killed and one person was injured in the crash. State TV said the injured man succumbed to his wounds after being taken to hospital.
Iran has a history of frequent air accidents blamed on its aging aircraft and poor maintenance.
