Hasina’s India visit postponed

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to India, scheduled for December 19, has been postponed. The new date has not been fixed.

New Delhi has requested the Premier to defer her visit as Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is due to attend the Copenhagen climate summit in Denmark, Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni told journalists at a press briefing on Monday.

The Bangladesh leader herself will attend the Copenhagen talks.
