Pro-democracy protesters in Bahrain on Tuesday clashed with police as they attempted to reach a central square in the capital Manama.

The clashes came a day after the main opposition groups said that they would take part in the second session of a new national dialogue process with the monarchy.

The session is on Wednesday.
