A Thai Airways jetliner on Sunday was hit by bird on its right engine while landing at Nepal’s only international airport - Tribhuvan International Airport. All passengers and crew members were safe and no major damages were reported.

The flight, TG 320, was grounded. As a result, the Boeing 777, which was scheduled to leave at around 2 p.m. Nepal Standard Time, was delayed.

The flight took off at around 6.30 p.m. after technicians repaired the damage.

Three months ago, a Jet Airways aircraft had to make the emergency landing after suffering a bird hit on its engine while landing.
