Nepal government has appointed Madan Kumar Bhattarai as the new Foreign Secretary of the country.

Mr. Bhattarai was earlier working in the Prime Minister’s Office and the decision to transfer him to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was taken at a cabinet meeting.

The country’s top diplomat joined as a junior officer 32 years ago in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served in different capacities.
