Tourism Minister P. Rajavelu on Thursday met the Minister of State for Tourism Mahesh Sharma in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum seeking adequate funds from the centre for speedy implementation of various ongoing projects in the Union Territory.
Mr. Rajavelu also extended an invitation to Mr. Sharma to visit Puducherry for inauguration of the Arts and Crafts Village at Murungapakkam.
A press release said Secretary to Tourism R. Mihir Vardhan urged the Centre to sanction adequate funds and include Puducherry under the ‘Prasad’ and ‘Swadesh Darshan’ schemes launched by the government to promote tourism.
