A collection of works from eight artists are on display at the ‘The Life Cycle of An Idea,’ an art exhibition in Puducherry.

The art exhibition at the Promenade, by the Gentleman’s Enterprise, brings together works of several artists.

Three years back in 2015, a bunch of college graduates decided to take forward their art to the reach of thousands and to break all barriers that face them. Now, in 2018, the group of men have realised their dream and under the banner of ‘The Gentleman’s Enterprise,’ they are organising art exhibitions in leading cities.

The art expo at the Promenade which has been organised by the Gentleman’s Enterprise serves as a collection of works from eight artists.

Placed all around the restaurant near the beach, the exhibits which are available for a month are garnering attention from people visiting the place.

“The title of the exhibition ‘The Life Cycle of an Idea’ is a metaphorical reference to the actual idea of taking forward these artworks through the Gentleman’s Enterprise. It is the very idea of the artworks and the Enterprise,” says Mr. Bipin Johnson, one of the founders.

Mr. Bipin is an artist himself and a few of his paintings have been displayed at the exhibition.

The Enterprise was founded as an effort to bring together artists and artworks and has been gathering artists from different walks of life. It has been providing a forum for them to market their art.

“We have an open eye for good art and artists. We are interested in encouraging and establishing upcoming artists and are also in search for talents on social media as it is going to be the next platform for empowerment,” adds Mr. Mohammed Natheem, one of the founders.

“Pondicherry has been very welcoming to art. We are to put up a few more exhibitions around the town. We also have been receiving great response for the show at Promenade.” says Mr. Bipin.

“Though the system is flawed and we rarely have platforms to appreciate art, we are trying hard to ignore the setbacks and establish an art house.” adds the artist.

The company is also looking forward to put up art shows in Bangalore and Chennai.

“We are welcoming a lot of artists and their works and are expecting to establish a studio soon in Chennai.” beams the artist.

The art exhibition at Promenade is open for all between June 8 and July 8.
