Over 200 students of the Navalar Nedunchezhiyan Government High School, Lawspet, abstained from classes and staged a demonstration in front of the Directorate of School Education on Tuesday protesting against poor quality of uniform supplied to them.

The students took out a march from the school to the Directorate of School Education.

They alleged that they were provided with low quality uniform annually. They wanted the government to provide standard quality uniform to students of all government schools.

L. Kumar, Director of Education, pacified the students and promised to provide good quality material. Soon after, the students withdrew their protest.
