The 117 Infantry Battalion (TA) will be conducting a recruitment rally for the Territorial Army at the Army Training Area, Mannarpuram, Tiruchi from September 25 to 30.
The candidates are required to report at 5 a.m. at the venue.
Vacancies
The vacancies are in the posts of soldier (general duty: 13), tradesman (chief community: 2) and tradesman (hair dresser: 2).
Candidates must be domicile of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Goa and the Union Territories of Puducherry, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu and Lakshadweep.
The terms and conditions include the stipulation that the candidates have to be gainfully employed and bring a no objection from their employer.
And they should have attained the age of 18 years and were under 42 years.
The selected candidates will be employed in the 117 Inf Bn (Territorial Army) The Guards.
A press note further clarified that this was not a regular Army recruitment and that in territorial army employment is guaranteed for only two months in a year.
