Rangasamy’s birthday celebrated in Puducherry

The 67th birthday celebration of former Chief Minister N. Rangasamy was celebrated here on Thursday.

Thousands of party workers and residents from Thattanchavady and other areas thronged his residence to greet him.

MLAs N.S. J. Jayabal, T.P.R. Selvam, Ashok Anand, former Speaker V. Sabapathy and former Ministers greeted him on the occasion.

Partymen distributed sweets and offered annadhanam at several places to mark Mr. Rangasamy’s birthday.

Free blood donation camps, special prayers and community feast were also organised to mark the event.

Party functionaries also dragged the golden chariot on the premises of Sri Manakula Vinayagar temple as part of the celebrations.
