‘New system in future elections’

The Chief Electoral Officer T.Sreekanth on Wednesday said the ballot papers would also contain photographs of candidates.

In a press release, he said new system would be introduced in future elections in order to avoid confusion in the minds of voters at the time of voting.

The new additional measure would come into force May 1 for all elections. As per directions of Election Commission of India, the photographs of candidates should be right side of their names.
