Narayanasamy holds review meeting with officials

Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy on Wednesday outlined the broad contours of the new government’s plan to the officials at his first review meeting with top officials of Union Territory.

Participants

Mr. Narayanasamy and his cabinet colleagues - A.Namassivayam, Malladi Krishna Rao, M.Candasamy, M.O.H.F. Shajahan and R. Kamalakannan -participated in the review meeting.

Chief Secretary Manoj Parida, Finance Secretary and Development Commission V. Candavelou, Education Secretary G. Ragesh Chandra, Health Secretary S.Sundaravadivelu and other officials explained the various programmes of their departments to the Chief Minister and cabinet colleagues.

It is learnt that Mr. Narayanasamy said there should not be any delay in rendering services to the public.

He also said the people should not suffer due to any delay in execution of projects and asked the officials to expedite the construction works of over-bridge on Uppanar canal and another bridge in Arumbaparthapuram.

They also discussed the issues relating to admissions to professional courses and other higher education courses.

They also deliberated on the improvements of school education, health, social welfare and tourism.
