Narayanasamy alleges irregularities in medical college appointments

All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and former Union Minister for State V. Narayanasamy on Wednesday alleged irregularities in the recruitment of about 600 persons in the government-run Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute, Thattanchavadi. In a statement, Mr.Narayanasamy said when N.Rangasamy was Chief Minister , the college was inaugurated with aim of providing quality medical care.

The building works were completed and inaugurated by Congress President and United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Alleging nepotism, the Congress leader said the appointment of persons from Mr. Rangasamy’s constituency was also in violation of an order of the Madras High Court.
