LG launches Swachch Bala Sena

Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi on Saturday launched the Swachch Bala Sena during the inspection of Velrampet Lake on Saturday.

“Henceforth, children will be involved in the cleanliness drive. They will be given a yellow whistle to alert and shame those throwing garbage on the lake and defecating in the open. Beat officers will be also be involved in promoting the Swachch Bal Sena. They will distribute the whistles to the children and engage them in keeping the city clean. This is party of community policing,” she said.
