Four more MLAs take charge as chairmen

The strength of ruling party functionaries who hold the post in boards/corporations rose to 16.

With four more Legislators from the Congress and DMK taking charge as chairmen of boards, the strength of ruling party functionaries who hold the post in boards/corporations rose to 16.

Congress Legislators T. Djeamourthy and E. Theepainthan who were appointed as chairman of Puducherry Planning Authority and Puducherry Slum Clearance Board respectively assumed office on Thursday.

Similarly, Congress Legislator M.N.R. Balan and DMK Legislator R. Siva, who were appointed as chairmen of Puducherry Tourism Development Corporation and Pondicherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation (PIPDIC) respectively took charge on Thursday.

Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy and other ruling party functionaries greeted them on the occasion.
