The Department of Revenue and Disaster Management has set up 13 permanent enrolment centres in the Union Territory for seeding of Aadhaar card with the National Population Register (NPR).

In a statement, Collector P. Jawahar said that Aadhaar number can be obtained by registering under the National Population Register (NPR), which is mandatory. After filling up the NPR forms and submitting those to the authorities concerned, data in the forms would be entered in the portal and the applicant would be called for biometric process.

The centres were functioning in revenue and taluk offices in Puducherry, Villianur, Ariyankuppam, Bahour, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. People can approach these permanent enrolment centres and complete the bio-metric process.

People who have not enrolled for NPR and those who do not have the acknowledgement slip after enrolment can approach the centres with family card, electors ID card and driving license.
