Congress workers in Mannadipet Assembly constituency have complained to Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy and Minister for Public Works A. Namassivayam, who is the president of Pradesh Congress Committee, against Agriculture Minister R. Kamalakannan for ignoring party cadre while touring the constituency.

Mr. Kamalakannan on Thursday visited places such as Katterikuppam, Lingareddypalayam, Thirukkanoor, and Vadhanoor in the constituency to get a first hand account of the problems faced by the people, especially in agriculture, power and education sectors.

While the Minister toured the constituency, he took along AINRC MLA T.P.R Selvame to the places he visited. Irked over giving importance to Opposition party MLA, the Congress workers met Mr. Namassivayam and complained to him. They called up Mr. Narayanasamy in New Delhi, and apprised him of the incident.
