The CBSE schools in the Union Territory have recorded a pass percentage of 99.92 in the Class X examination, the highest in Chennai region. A total of 1,257 students from the 10 CBSE schools appeared for the examination and all but one cleared the examination.
Toppers of the Aditya Vidyashram Residential School, one of the schools with 100 per cent pass, were felicitated. In a statement, Aditya Vidyashram said that as many as 56 students had scored a CGPA of 10. Of the 245 students who had appeared for the examinations, as many as 243 had secured distinction.
Besides, 110 students scored A 1 Grade in English and 130 students, in Language. As many as 74 students scored the highest in Mathematics while 72 got the highest in Science.
It is worth mentioning that Aditya Vidyashram targets the middle class and students from rural areas, providing them world-class education at an affordable cost, said a release from the school.
