BJP national president Amit Shah will arrive in Puducherry on a two-day visit on Monday as part of his 110-day nationwide tour. The main thoroughfares have been decorated and the party cadre have erected digital banners and cut-outs across the city welcoming Mr. Shah. This will be his second visit to Puducherry.
Sources said Mr. Shah will arrive at the Puducherry airport around 10.15 a.m. He will start his day by garlanding the statue of Subramaniya Bharathi followed by a party meeting which will take stock of the political situation in the Union Territory.
A review of the membership drive of the party will be taken up. The BJP chief would interact with cadre and prominent people to set the agenda for building the party in the Union Territory.
Mr. Shah will hold meetings with industrialists, representatives of trade associations, and Chambre De Commerce. He will visit Auroville on Tuesday.
