How the journey started
- 1878 - G. Subramania Iyer, first editor of The Hindu
- 1905 - S Kasturiranga Iyengar,a visionary and Indian nationalist buys The Hindu and is editor till 1923
- 1935 - The Hindu's second office premises at "Allahabad House" opens in Ballard Estate. Lord Brabourne, Governor of Bombay present at occasion.
- 1935 - A Rangaswami Iyengar, editor of The Hindu when it opens office in Bombay
- 1935 - Report in The Hindu with a tribute to the Newspaper from the Governor of Bombay.
- 1949 - In a first, The Hindu's Bombay-Madras teleprinter line opens. Bombay Premier transmits first message.
- 1951 - Managing Director Kasturi Srinivasan, who initiates work on a new building at Churchgate
- 1953 - Kasturi Buildings, Churchgate, becomes the new office of The Hindu.
