Mumbai: A Jabalpur-bound SpiceJet flight from Mumbai with nearly 50 passengers on board was cancelled today due to a technical glitch. Some of the stranded passengers have been provided accommodation at Mumbai and will be flying to Pune tomorrow and others have been refunded their ticket fare, an airline official said.

Flight SG 2548 operating on Mumbai—Jabalpur route was scheduled to depart at 2.10 pm but the departure was delayed due to a glitch in the aircraft, airport officials said. The aircraft was rendered fit to fly by the airline engineering team, but since planes can land at Jabalpur only till 6.30 p.m., the airline sought an extension of the ‘watch hour’ at Pune. However, this request was not accepted by airport authorities at Pune, forcing the airline to cancel the flight.
