Rane to BJP: don’t test my patience

Mumbai: Irked over the delay in the State Cabinet expansion, Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksha founder Narayan Rane on Friday said that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should not wait till he runs out of patience.

“I know when I resigned and I also know what was discussed at that time. Today (on Friday) I will be meeting the CM, where many things will be discussed,” said Mr. Rane, who, in September 2017, resigned from the MLC post and later from the Congress.

Mr. Fadnavis has been saying in his public appearances that Mr. Rane, who enjoys clout in the Konkan region, will be taken care of. However, he has never assured in public of allotting a Cabinet berth to the leader.

It was rumoured that the expansion would take place prior to the winter session of the legislature. The BJP is likely to nominate Mr. Rane in the State Council in the election in April and May.
