Navi Mumbai: The Khandeshwar police are searching for a 15-year-old boy from Panvel, who has been missing since Sunday evening.

According to his father Raj Yadav, who works for a media company, Saurabh left home at around 6.20 p.m to play in the CIDCO garden opposite their housing society, and did not return. “We got to know that he left the garden at around 7.30 p.m. and went to a nearby hair saloon where he goes to chat with the boys working there. But being a Sunday, the boys were busy; hence he left the shop. He was seen going towards Panvel railway station,” said Mr. Yadav. An FIR was lodged on Tuesday and the police are checking CCTV footage of nearby areas and Panvel station.

According to Mr. Yadav, his son, a Class VIII student of Vinod Shukla High School, Chembur, is an introvert. “He gets irritated over things quickly. He has a very few friends, and I checked with all of them, but we have got no clue,” said Mr. Yadav.

”We have alerted nearby police stations,” said sub-inspector Moreshwar Bhoir from Khandeshwar police station.
