Three people drowned in two incidents on Sunday in Palghar and Vasai. All the bodies have been found, but the identity of two is yet to be established.

In the first incident, two bodies were found floating in the Chinchoti river in Naigaon (E). The Waliv Police are yet to identify the duo, aged around 35 years. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. “Despite warning signboards installed near the river, people often ignore them,” said inspector Mahesh Patil of Waliv police station.

The second incident involved a man identified as Nadimuddin Hussain Mullah (28), who drowned in the Surya river at Charoti in Dahanu. The body was discovered on Monday morning.
