CM has given me a clean chit: Patil

July 28, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - MUMBAI:

A day after The Hindu wrote about the nine-month pending complaint against Minister of State (Home) Ranjit Patil in a disproportionate assets case, the Minister denied all allegations calling them “politically motivated”.

“I have been subjected to unnecessary scrutiny and harassment by my political rivals for things which I have not even committed,” he told The Hindu .

Mr. Patil said that similar complaints were filed against him even before, and he has been given a clean chit in all. The Hindu in its report published on Wednesday had mentioned about those complaints and also about his exoneration.

Mr. Patil alleged that systematic attempts of his character assassination are being committed ever since he assumed office. “My elevation to this rank was not appreciated by my rivals in Akola district,” he said.
