Man flees after murdering friend in Panvel

Panvel police are on the look out of an accused who killed his friend and injured his brother and father.

The victim, Dyaneshwar Kondilkar (29), and the accused, Shubham Bhagwan Thombre (19), were were childhood friends and stayed in Kudave village. On Tuesday evening, Thombre used obscene language while referring to the wives of Dyaneshwar Kondilkar and his brother Raghunandan.

Assistant Police Inspector Prithviraj Ghorpade said, “Kondilkar, his brother and their father, Shriram, visited Thombre’s house to demand an explanation for his objectionable behaviour. A fight broke out and Thombre attacked the Kondilkars with a knife. Dyaneshwar was fatally injured, while Raghunandana and Shriram were rushed by neighbours to Purohit Hospital in Panvel.”

Thombre, who works as a driver, is absconding. Dyaneshwar worked as a bodyguard and Raghunandan works in a private company. Their father is a farmer.
