Maharashtra Minister injured

Maharashtra Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshvardhan Patil was seriously injured in the left eye on Friday after young men demanding reservation for the Dhangar (shepherd) community, threw ink on his face in Bhigwan of Pune district. The Minister was in the town to inaugurate a primary health centre.

“A few young boys approached me as I was leaving the venue and threw ink at me. My skin developed irritation and a burning sensation after some time,” Mr. Patil, a Congress leader, said.
