Jiah Khan’s mother moves court again

May 20, 2016 12:00 am | Updated September 12, 2016 07:27 pm IST - Mumbai:

Late actor Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia Khan has moved the Bombay High Court again after the Supreme Court asked her to approach the HC over the probe into her daughter’s death.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to intervene in the plea made by Ms. Khan. She had sought that the investigation be transferred from the Central Bureau of Investigation to a Special Investigation Team.

The CBI has termed Jiah’s death as suicidal, not homicidal. Ms. Khan had also sought the formation of a SIT because Jiah was a U.S. citizen, and wanted the Federal Bureau of Investigation to assist the team. Actor Sooraj Pancholi has been charged with abetment of suicide of Jiah on June 3, 2013, after the duo had a spat.
