‘Abuse of position’

On Tuesday, the Nagpur unit of the ACB registered an FIR against two former officials of the Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation (VIDC) as well as FA Constructions, which received the contracts for the irrigation projects in 2006.

ACB officials said that the VIDC officials misused their official positions to award the tenders to FA Constructions in spite of several norms being flouted, and that FA Constructions had indulged in forgery and hatched a conspiracy with the government officials.
