Drugs worth ₹40 cr. seized in Palghar

Mumbai: The Crime Branch has recovered drugs worth ₹40 crore from a milk processing unit at Talasari, Palghar.

During a raid at a farm house, the police found an abandoned vehicle with a Karnataka registration number. According to the police, 5.25 kg of heroine, 24.69 kg of isosafrole, and 9.1 kg of ketamine were found.

Sub-inspector Hemant Katkar, public relations officer, Palghar, said three persons’ names have come up during investigation, but they are yet to be apprehended. The Crime Branch had on September 24 arrested two persons and one Nigerian with drugs worth ₹21.7 lakh.
