Global terrorist and mastermind behind the 1993 Mumbai blasts Dawood Ibrahim, who is allegedly living and operating out of Pakistan, himself performed the last rites of his younger brother Humayun on June 24. Sources in the security establishment also said Dawood won’t be celebrating Eid at the end of the holy month of Ramzan.
38-year-old Humayun, Dawood’s junior by 30 years, died of cancer in Dubai on June 23. According to sources, Dawood doted on his kid brother and brought him up after the family fled to Dubai following the Mumbai blasts.
They said Dawood put him through school and later sent him to London for further studies. Sources said Humayan had no direct involvement with the underworld and was handling the family’s legitimate real estate business in Dubai.
So attached was Dawood to his younger brother that he brought Humayun’s mortal remains to Karachi for the funeral. Humayun was afflicted with cancer, and began complaining of stomach ache on June 23. He was rushed to a hospital in Dubai where he died around 11.30 pm.
Like Dawood’s brother Noora, who died in 2009, Humayun too was not buried at the Chandanwadi graveyard on Charni Road, where his family members including father Ibrahim Kaskar have been laid to rest.
