Water scheme: more houses to benefit

March 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated May 23, 2016 06:55 pm IST - Kozhikode:

A special cell headed by District Collector N. Prasanth would be formed in the district to check the possibility of including more households under the newly commissioned Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Aided Drinking Water project.

A decision in this regard was announced by Minister for Panchayats M.K. Muneer while addressing a meeting of the District Development Committee at the Collectorate conference hall here on Saturday.

“The requests of grama panchayats which are not included in the new drinking water project will be given due consideration. For this, a separate meeting will be convened shortly in presence of people’s representatives and KWA officials,” Dr. Muneer said.
