As part of celebrating the fourth anniversary of the United Democratic Front-led State government, a modern video wall was opened at Civil Station here on Monday.

District Collector N. Prasanth inaugurated the new facility. Officials with the Information and Public Relations Department said the wall would be used to screen various video productions of the State government highlighting its achievements in various sectors. Information related to the government departments and awareness documentaries too would be screened, they added.

The State government spent Rs.32 lakh for the video wall. Officials said the 10 sq ft screen was installed with the technical support of the Hong Kong-based company Light House Technology. Similar walls would be considered for other Civil Stations in the State. T. Velayudhan, Regional Deputy Director of Public Relations Department, presided over the function. Sub Collector Himanshu Kumar Rai, Additional District Magistrate K. Raghakrishnan, Deputy Collector C. Mohan Das, and District Information Officer Khader Palazhi were present.
