Anweshi Women’s Counselling Centre here has welcomed the recent Kerala High Court ruling in the Suryanelli sex racket case.

In a pressnote issued here on Saturday, its president K. Ajitha and secretary P.Sreeja stated that the ruling was important in the backdrop of the new law that was created as a result of the protest all over the country after the Delhi gang rape case.

The ruling of the special court had brought justice in a case that had been twisted and turned many times, the centre said in the press release.
