A star nite is being organised in the city on August 15 in honour of actor Mohanlal.
General convener of the organising committee and director Ranjith said that the programme is organised by a collective of cultural and political workers of the district. The show will feature songs and sequences from Mohanlal movies. Noted directors Fazil, Hariharan, I.V. Sasi, Joshey and Shaji Kailas will take part in the event. The proceeds from the three-hour event will go to ailing film personalities.
G.S.Vijayan is the event director while Tej Mervin will compose the music. Mayor Thottathil Raveednran is the chairman of the organising committee while P.V. Gangadharan is vice chairman. District Collector is Chief coordinator.
Entry will be restricted through passes.
