April 06, 2014 11:24 am | Updated May 21, 2016 08:58 am IST - Kozhikode:

The scrutiny of income and expenditure for candidates is reaching the third and final stage, the district electoral office said on Saturday.

In the first two phases, a team led by Election Observers R. Srinivas and P. Vijayakumar poured over the cash registers, documents of expenditure submitted by the candidates. The officials have already found that independent candidate V.M. Raghavan has not shown his expenditure and has issued notice to him.

The final scrutiny would be held on April 8 for the Kozhikode Lok Sabha constituency and the consecutive day for Vadakara.
