Over 200 students attended a magic camp organised by the Magic Academy Kozhikode and the City Corporation at the Town hall here on Monday.
The programme, led by magician Gopinath Muthukad, was part of the golden jubilee of the corporation and focussed on creating awareness on the ill-effects of drug abuse.
Street magicians from across the country different enthralled the audience with their magic tricks.
A psychoanalysis session led by L.R. Madhujan gave participants tips on how to improve memory and concentration and multi-tasking.
A video of Mr. Muthukad’s ‘magic tour’ from Kashmir to Kanyakumari was also screened.
“This campaign had strong messages against the abuse of drugs and alcohol,” said Samsy Ismail, organising committee member of the event. Kozhikode Mayor A.K. Premajam inaugurated the magic camp.
