Plus Two: good show by district schools

Most of the 21 senior secondary schools affiliated to CBSE excel

Most of the 21 senior secondary schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the district put up a good show in the Class 12 examinations, the result of which were announced on Monday.

The Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV), KV I at East Hill and KV II at Govindapuram, registered 100 per cent pass, with all the 222 students who took the exams from the former and the 45 from the latter clearing it. KV I had 50 students scoring above 90 per cent while KV II had 12.

Most of the prominent CBSE schools in the city, including Silver Hills Public School; Vedavyasa Vidyalaya, Malaparambal; and MSS Public School, Malikkadavu; registered 100 per cent pass.

In suburbs

Schools in the suburbs such as Spring Valley Public School, M.E.S. Raja Residential School, and Dayapuram Residential School, all at Chathamangalam; Vadi Huda Public School, Elettil; Olive Public School, Perambra; Farook English Medium School, Feroke; and Al-Haramain Public School, Puthiyangadi; also registered a 100 per cent pass.

A few schools such as Sathya Sayi Vidya Peetam Residential School Nandi, near Koyilandy, and Rani Public School, Vadakara; which had a large number of students taking the examination, lost the 100 per cent mark by a whisker as one or two students failed.
