Aiswarya Ram, a native of Palakkad district, has been awarded the gold medal for securing the highest grade at the two-year Postgraduate Programme in Management conducted by the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K). Aiswarya’s grade (4.16 out of 4.33) was one of the highest in the recent records of the IIM-K.

Expressing delight over the 96% academic achievement, the young postgraduate said it was the strength and motivation of the seasoned IIM-K faculty that helped her clinch the title from around 360 learners.

“For me, the learning here was not just a mechanical process, but a memorable experience for the past two years,” she recalled.

Ms. Ram, who is also a first-rank holder in the B.Tech (Electrical and Electronics) examinations conducted by the Calicut University, said the presence of students from various parts of India bolstered her confidence and gifted a totally different learning ambiance on the IIM-K campus.

“All of our faculty members were keen on giving us the required personal attention and that made a real difference,” she said.

The uniqueness of IIM-K training, according to Ms. Ram, was the capability of the faculty members to lead even the passive learners to the real spirit of professionalism.

Ms. Ram, who recently secured placement with J.P. Morgan, the multinational banking and financial services company in Mumbai during her summer internship, would join on duty on April 17.
