Medical college

There was confusion among the public regarding the restriction to admission of fever cases in the Government Medical College Hospital in Kozhikode. Hospital superintendent K.G. Sajeeth Kumar has clarified that only patients with platelet count above one lakh were being sent back to taluk and district hospitals as there was shortage of space in the hospital. Two new wards with bed strength of 20 each for men and women had been opened in the hospital to accommodate the increasing number of fever cases, he said.
